Geologic uplift and erosion have resulted in elevations ranging from 3,600 to 8,700 feet. The park’s unique geology has created such diverse enviroments as deserts, canyons, slickrock, hanging gardens, riversides, and high plateaus. This is a sampling of Zion’s nearly 900 plant species.
