Lower Calf Creek Falls
Trails map of Lower Calf Creek Falls at Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (NM) in Utah. Published by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
Lower Calf Creek Falls trail takes hikers through a desert oasis amid the tumbled stone monoliths of southern Utah. Named for its use as a natural pen for calves back in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, hikers will walk between mineral-streaked cliffs of Navajo Sandstone, pass beaver ponds and pre-historic rock art sites en route to the cold pools beneath the waterfall.
